My task was to come up with the Flos Aeris object, a predatory ball of biomass on a planetary scale, resembling a giant spiked flower. With its incredible ability to regenerate, it is able to fully recover to its previous state if it is not destroyed in one attempt.
At first, I made very quick sketches of the predatory plants I found. Then, according to the approved version, I drew the concept in Photoshop, including the grades of the object. The special feature of the task was that the objects should be visible on the map and contain details of the required scale for the map. It was necessary to achieve the feeling that the object is gigantic, but at the same time simple and concise.
The 3D model was created by an outsourcing company based on this concept.
Next, after drawing the seed/spore of a predatory plant based on the found ref, I created art for the Flos Aeris event.
